Herbivore’s National Account Executive Max Brisben chose the organization for its leadership, wellness services and outreach efforts.
“They’re really about giving [trans women of color] a voice and educating the public about how this community is marginalized on so many different levels.” Says Max. “Not only are they discriminated against by racism, but also homophobia, sexism and transphobia.”
TWCC is led and operated by trans women of color, and assists the community with financial needs, such as necessities and travel fare. Funds also go toward creating safe spaces and education to empower the globe to protect trans and gender non-conforming people of color from violence and discrimination.
